Vocational Development Recognition

Purpose:         Recognize outstanding students from our four High Schools for their dedication to school and community .  

Structure:        In partnership with the Four Seasons Rotary, we will recognize a student selected by the schools based on our criteria.  Each student selected will be recognized in the newspaper, will be invited to attend at least one Rotary meeting of each club, and will receive an engraved plaque.  The school will receive a $100.00 donation in honor of the student.

Timing and Sequence :            The awards will begin in October and end in May, with each school being recognized twice during the year.  In May, each winner will be given two weeks to submit an essay to be considered for a $1,000.00 scholarship.   The winner will be invited to read his/her essay to each of the Rotary Clubs as a program so the Rotarians will be more involved with and appreciate the winning student.

Budget :           $1,000.00

                        The Four Season's Rotary will contribute $ 1,000.00 also.       

Reporting Requirements:      Winners will be announced (and introduced as possible) to each club after selection.
